The Gatanga community resource center and library is YARDs project, it was an initiative started when YARD identified information as a gap that limited communities make well informed choices and decisions there was a gap of the community getting access to information. The resource center acts as a hub for incoming and outgoing information, which is easily accessed by the Gatanga Community in general.
The Resource center and the library targets farmers; who are able to access information regarding upcoming technologies and skills on farming, environmentalists, Community health workers, teachers, children and other readers who may want to read books on fiction and other relevant topics of their choice. Most of the books and resources are donations by friends of YARD, any books, audio and visual aids made as donations are welcome.
